Next Stop: Pebble Beach Food & Wine Festival

<br />

I have to give a big shout of thanks to the folks at Foodbuzz.  Last week they offered their Featured Publishers a chance to attend this weekend’s Pebble Beach Food and Wine Festival.  Of course, I couldn’t pass up such a great opportunity!  I wrote a proposal and was blessed with the green light to attend.  Awesome!

I was shooting for the moon with my proposal.  My plan was to cover the entire event from Thursday to Sunday, since Foodbuzz was also offering a chance to win a Magnum pass, which includes access to lunches, dinners, and other exclusive events during the course of the entire festival.  While that didn’t come to pass, I’m glad to be covering the Lexus Grand Tasting on Sunday.

Quoting the website:

“The Lexus Grand Tasting at Pebble Beach Food & Wine is the most spectacular opportunity to enjoy over 300 wines from 200 of the world’s most prestigious wineries.  This is a must-do experience for anyone who loves food and wine.  The 60,000 square foot Lexus Grand Tasting will also have private lounges for Imperial and Jeroboam package holders, a showcase area for American Express Publishing and arenas to display the latest offerings from Jenn-Air, J.A. Henckels and others.”

OK, so I won’t be lounging with the Imperial and Jeroboam crowd (these packages are supersized versions of the “humble” Magnum pass – think bottle sizes), but I am looking forward to sampling some great wines, tasting some fabulous foods, and enjoying the sights and sounds of Pebble Beach.  I’m also looking forward to meeting some of the Foodbuzz staff and other Featured Publishers.  Send me an email if you’re gonna be there! 🙂

Oh, I must mention that this event is actually a fundraiser benefiting several charities including the Boys and Girls Club of Monterey County.  There’s nothing better than eating for a cause!
