September is California Wine Month

Its official:  September is California Wine Month.  While its been recognized for several years past, good ol' Governor Arnold signed it into law with a proclamation back in August.

In addition to the recognition we give California wines during the rest of the year, we're going to take this week in September to talk about the California wines and vineyards that we love.  It'll be like a South Bay Foodies Wine Week in celebration of California Wine Month.

For starters, we're taking a look at all the events that the California Wine Institute has lined up for the next few weeks.  If you're in one of the wine producing regions like Temecula, Paso Robles, or Napa, there's plenty going on.  If you're in LA, you're going to have to fork over some cash for a road trip or head over to the free Bottle Rock for a Napa Vinters Tweet Up on Tuesday, September 21.

Whatever you decide to do, raise your glass — I'm sipping a Carlo Rossi Sangria at the moment — and join us as we celebrate California Wine Month.  Salut!
