The Food:

Paella, fresh bread, and salad from Papas Tapas Truck.

This past Tuesday, I had the opportunity to check out Papas Tapas truck at the LAX lunch time lot on Century Blvd.

Their menu drew me in with plenty of options for sliders, tacos, and paella.  After a sample of the paella, I was sold.  It was very well seasoned — if a tad on the salty side — and had plenty of flavor.

I really wanted to try the sliders, though, and opted for those.  Fortunately, I had the sample  of paella and the nice lady in line before me let me snap a pic of her order.  Thanks!

Back in my office, I dug into my order of bocadillos, which are essentially little sandwiches.  I had the chicken and the tri-tip thanks to a split order with my fellow foodie, FPUGirl.

They were very tasty but certainly tapa-ish — a little on the small side.  I gotta give it to ’em though, they were satisfying.  The tri-tip was tender and full of flavor.  The chicken was also good and had a bit more meat in the bun.

To complemnt the bocadillos, I added an order of patatas bravas — “fried golden potatoes topped with a spicy sofrita”.  These were good too with a buttery taste of a fried potato and a kick from the spicy sauce.

In the end, I was happy to order from Papas Tapas Truck.   I’ll be checking them out again to get a full order of paella and some tacos!
