This Weekend! Long Beach Grand Prix, Artisanal LA, and Go Green Expo

This is one of those fabled Southern California weekends where the weather is on deck to be as lovely as it can be and there’s so much going its hard to figure out what to do with ourselves.  Ah, what a dilemma!

Toyota Grand Prix of Long Beach, Street Racing, Concerts, Festival

Maverick and Goose said it best: “I feel the need…the need for speed!”.  This weekend you can join thousands of other like-minded motorheads at the Toyta Grand Prix of Long Beach.

This event transforms stretches of downtown streets into a world-class grand prix race track.  Expos and concerts round things out, giving attendees plenty of entertainment and places to refuel.

Artisanal LA Spring Show Heads West to Santa Monica

Artisanal LA returns bigger and better with another weekend long community shopping, tasting, and learning experience showcasing the city’s finest local, sustainable and handmade edibles Saturday and Sunday, April 16-17.”

Tickets are cheap — just $10 in advance — and come with a ton of goodies like free food and drink samples, expert panels and demos, and other hands on interactive activities.  Don’t buy your tickets at the door!  You’ll be playing $15 more and you might not event get in if they sell out.  Follow this link and buy them online now!

Go Green Expo

One of the preimere evets for eco-freidnly business and living is coming to the Los Angeles Convention center this Saturday and Sunday. Go Green Expo LogoThe Go GReen Expo is for “everyone interested in learning about environmentally friendly goods & services for use in modern everyday living.”

The event features hundreds of booths and exhibits from green and eco-friendly businesses, interactive seminars and speeches, and a “Green Marketplace” where you can shop for eco-friendly items and technologies.

Tickets are a steal for this to day event:  just $15 gets you in for both days and kids 12 and under are free!  Students get $5 off registration with valid ID.  If you’re hanging onto that old laptop of flatscreen monitor, you can dump it at the expo’s “GREENspotDROPoff” and get in for free.
