The Strand House’s Series of Celebrated Chefs Presents Iron Chef Jose Garces

For one night only, The Strand House will feature Master Chef Jose Garces as he serves a five course, Latin-inspired menu. The event takes place on Monday, October 29 in Manhattan Beach.

Among Chef Garces’ credits are recognition as “Best Chef” by the James Beard Foundation and capturing the title of Iron Chef on the Food Network series, The Next Iron Chef.

Beginning at 7 PM, guests will have the opportunity to meet and mingle with Garces while enjoying passed hors d’oeuvres and a glass of sparkling rosé. Also expected to be present during the reception are The Strand House Executive Creative Chef Neal Fraser, Executive Chef Greg Hozinsky, and The Strand House Owner Michael Zislis.

Following the meet and greet, guests will dine on a menu including duck, suckling pork, and a variety of seafood dishes, each paired with wines and cocktails.

“Our goal with our Master Chef Series”, says owner Michael Zislis, “is to connect our guests with dining experiences that will resonate with them long after the dinner comes to an end, and we believe that this opportunity to celebrate Jose’s amazing talents will do just that.”

Dinner for this event is $100; wine and cocktails pairings are $50 and include a signed copy of Chef Garces newly released cookbook, The Latin Road Home (links to Amazon.com).
