South Bay is Going Nuts for Cronuts at Torrance Bakery

The half croissant, half donut phenomena known as cronuts is in the South Bay! There’s no need to go all the way to New York for these delicious hybrid donuts because Torrance Bakery is now offering them.

Cronuts were developed just this year in New York and have now taken the entire world by storm. It is a croissant and donut in one.  They were initially created by New York pastry chef Dominique Ansel by frying croissant dough.

When I first heard Torrance Bakery was offering these new popular pastries, I knew I had to go check it out. I was impressed the moment I saw and tasted them!

Torrance Bakery’s cronuts are delicious! It is hard not to see why there’s such a giant hype over these. Cronuts have a soft base, a flaky crust and just the right amount of sweet.  Taste-wise, they reminded me somewhat of a churro in a donut and croissant form.

I’ve seen on the news how people are going crazy over cronuts. Lines are being formed in front of bakeries all over the world for these new creations. It’s nice to see them come to the South Bay.

Cronuts are being offered for $2.50 each at Torrance Bakery. Once you try them, you’ll see why they’re so popular.
