It was one classy event where guests could enter via red carpet. People were dressed in all white and enjoyed a cocktail party filled with delicious eats and drinks.

There was a beautiful VIP area where guests could relax and mingle with others. This was also the area where announcements and a pre-concert was held before the main outdoor concert of Big Bad Voodoo Daddy.

It was a fun night of good food, good drinks and good music but beyond all of that what made this event special was the cause behind this and all the people who came out to support it.

At one point Cyndi McMaster, a Walk with Sally volunteer and chair of the White Light, White Night 2013 event, was on stage and she asked how many people had an immediate family member affected by cancer. She asked everyone too look at all the hands raised in the room and to remember those hands. This is what this event was about, giving support and hope to all these people with their hands raised. It was a wonderful night filled with love, light and hope. Walk with Sally’s mission is to provide mentoring support programs and services to children with parents or siblings with cancer, one child at a time, one heart at a time. This night, I witnessed people making a difference, one person at a time.
