Uber Gives Free Rides and #NeighborhoodLove Discounts in the South Bay

Book a ride on Uber and you could land a discount at one of your favorite South Bay restaurants, bars, or specially shops.  The “ride for hire” business calls it Neighborhood Love.

From March 3rd until March 16th,  Uber is giving new and existing customers a free ride up to $20 when they book a ride using the “SouthBayNL” discount code and requesting uberX, a mid-range or hybrid vehicle seating up to four people.

Along with the free ride, passengers can show their receipt for discounts on drinks, food, and other services at more than thirty South Bay businesses.

The options range from complimentary appetizers at Rock’N Fish Manhattan Beach to $1 Jello shots at Sharkeez.  Here’s the list of food and beverage specials.

• Bacchus Wines — 2 for 1 wine tasting or 10% off your receipt
• Baja Sharkeez Hermosa Beach — $1 jello shots

• diPiazza’s — $1 well cocktail or tap beer
• Doma Kitchen — Complimentary iced tea
• FishBar — 10% off your meal. Valid Mon-Sun 11am-4pm
• Hennessey’s Tavern Manhattan Beach — 20% off your receipt
• Manhattan Beach Creamery — buy one creamwich get one creamwich of equal or lesser value free
• Manhattan Bread & Bagel — Complimentary bagel with cream cheese
• Mickey McColgan’s — 15% off food (excluding happy hour)
• Paciugo Gelato & Caffe Hermosa Beach — Buy 1 cup of gelato get 1 free
• Pedone’s Pizzeria — Complimentary small appetizer with a purchase of $10
• Rock & Brews (El Segundo and Redondo Beach!) — Complimentary giant German pretzel
