Sunday Brunch at Tapas & Vino

Tapas & Vino

Tapas & Vino

Through Tapas & Vino’s facebook page, I learned that they now feature brunch midday on Sunday. I recently convinced my family to join me.

I like the fact that the owner, Andy Di Girgis, is always there. He does a great job in talking to his customers and takes feedback on their experience. Because of his hands on nature, he has many regular customers.

My wife and I both ordered mimosas. I ended up turning mine into a ‘bottomless mimosa’ when I learned that it is the same price as having two mimosas. My daughter ordered a hot chocolate.

While the eggs benedict caught my eye, I decided upon the salmon and fresh spinach benedict. After taking a bite, I was pleasantly surprised to find out that Tapa & Vino uses smoked salmon. The hollandaise sauce was perfectly prepared and it ended up being a delightful dish.

Tortilla Española – potato, egg, chorizo and onion torte

My wife ordered the Tortillas Española. It was evenly layered with potato, chorizo and roasted piquillo peppers. For my wife, this was ideal, because potato wasn’t the dominant ingredient.

The huevos rancheros caught my daughter’s fancy. It was beautifully presented. A single corn tortilla was on a bed of freshly made refried beans. Sliced avocados and queso fresco were layered on the top with a sunny side egg. My daughter commented a few times how much she enojoyed the dish.

Tapas & Vino serves brunch on Sundays from 10am – 2pm. It’s a great way to experience Sunday Funday!
