For those than want some fizz to their cocktail, the Bubbly Cali is a mixture of sparkling wine, No 209 Gin, Medlock Ames Verjus, and a dash of simple syrup. A cucumber garnish emphasizes the crispness of this bubbly drink.

To spice things up a bit, the Shishito Pepper Martini is perfect. Maybe “spice” isn’t the right word because this cocktail dosen’t give off much heat, but the pepper makes for a great flavor. First, Shishito pepper is infused in vodka and simple syrup; the two are then mixed wiht orange liquer and lime juice for a tangy finish. The pepper garnish is safe to eat while sipping the martini. Don’t worry about burning your tongue!

Keeping Asian Fusion in mind, The Tokyo Mule at ROK Sushi is made with sake instead of vodka. Two different sakes are mixed and kicked up a notch with ginger simple syrup and fresh ginger. Who needs a copper cup when you have all that ginger sensation!?

Of course, man can not live on drinks alone. To balance out the beverages, the menu at ROK has plenty to choose from including sushi (of course) and a variety of Asian influenced entrees. You can find their complete menu online.

The wonton fish taco is a star among their appetizers; tender fish wrapped in a crispy wonton and topped with a slice of fresh avocado.

To keep folks coming in and also getting a good deal, ROK Sushi has a Groupon going on with two options:

  • $22 for $40 worth of Japanese dinner and drinks
  • $46.25 for $80 worth of Japanese dinner and drinks for four or more

Follow this link to get to the Groupon and be advised that its only available for a limited time! Of course, there’s even more fine print after you buy it; just get one soon and use it soon and you’ll be fine. Oh, don’t try to use it for their happy hour! The discount is only good on regularly priced items. But the ROK Sushi happy hour has great items for just $5 so you wouldn’t even need a Groupon for that. Just go!
