Sunday Brunches for Father’s Day 2014

For Father’s Day, it might be tough figuring out what to get the dad who has everything. There’s one thing we know for certain though: All dad’s need to eat! Here are a few choices for dining out with Dear Old Dad on his special day.

The View at Manhattan Beach Marriott is setting up their buffet as a good old fashioned backyard barbecue in honor of Dads and the people that love them. Plenty of comfort foods are on the menu (chili, mac & cheese, cole slaw, and corn bread) along with “Dude Food” like dry rubbed spare ribs and bacon wrapped street dogs. $30 gets each family member all they can eat and the $50 ticket (perfect for Dad) ups the ante with unlimited craft beer. Brunch at Lazy Dog Restaurant & Bar, Del Amo, June 15, 9 AM – 2 PM

Lazy Dog is lining up a special edition of their popular weekend brunch with Dad in mind. They’ll be serving $3 draft beers all day long and Dad gets a complimentary special edition pint glass. During brunch, their normal specials will also be in effect with great deals like Hair of the Dog Bloody Mary, Mimosas and housemade Sangrias for only $5. Their full brunch menu is online and lists favorites like Sunny Side Up Pizza and the Country Chickens & Biscuit: Crispy fried chicken, chicken sausage made from scratch, two sunny side up eggs & a housemade buttermilk biscuit topped with Cajun gravy spiced maple syrup. Doors open at 9 AM!

Bluegrass BBQ for Dads at Sofitel, June 15, 11:30 AM – 3:30 PM

Here’s a real treat for Dad if you want you want to get fancy but still be fun and laid back. Esterel at the Sofitel Los Angeles, is transforming their posh patio in to a Bluegrass BBQ complete with an outdoor grilling station. Dad-friendly foods are the focus with Angus hamburgers, New York strips, and full racks of baby back ribs leading the menu. To quench manly thirsts, each grilled item is paired with a bottle of beer, glass of wine, or other beverage. 10-minute for $10 mini-spa packeages are available for Dad too!
