Recap of the 5th Annual LA Street Food Fest

One of my favorite annual events is the LA Street Food Fest. It’s an open air event held annually at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena featuring many of LA’s most popular culinary offerings in one location.

For this year’s festival, nearly a hundred food and beverage vendors were on hand to provide sample offerings. As you would expect, quite a number of gourmet food trucks attended as well. The reason I like this event so much is because there are a number of pop-up vendors too.  We also spotting a few South Bay restaurants including ROK Sushi and Doma Kitchen.

Here’s a gallery what my wife and I sampled as well as some highlights from the event:

What were my favorites?  I enjoyed many of the items that I sampled.  Two standouts for me was the Peruvian ceviche from the Ceviche Project and the ice cream from Salt and Straw.

A notable absence from this line-up of goodness is the churro borough. I didn’t have enough patience to wait through that line.  Here’s an image of last year’s churro borough.
