This Weekend! LA Times Presents The Taste 2014 #TasteLA

LA Times The Taste 2013 - Red Carpet and Chalk Board

Summer may be coming to a close, but Southern California’s food festival season is just getting started! One of the main events of LA and SoCal festivals is The TASTE presented by The Los Angeles Times.

Taking place this Labor Day weekend, The TASTE showcases the best of the best when it comes to food and beverage around Los Angeles. The two day festival takes place at Paramount Studios and features LA’s favorite chefs, bar tenders, and their featured creations. Here’s a run down of the events!

Field to Fork, Saturday, 8/30, 11 AM – 3 PM

Indulge in the bounty of California with an afternoon inspired by locally sourced ingredients and the pleasures of seasonal cooking. Leading L.A. chefs specializing in fresh-focused dishes will share their techniques and offer tastes.

Dinner With a Twist, Saturday, 8/30, 7:30 – 11 PM
What’s more L.A. than a swanky cocktail party on a Hollywood backlot? That’s exactly what this Saturday evening event is. You’ll enjoy drinks that have brought Southern California’s cutting-edge cocktail culture into a golden age and unique dishes from the city’s hottest chefs.

Sunday Brunch, Sunday, 8/31, 11 AM – 3 PM
Spend your Sunday enjoying the warm SoCal sun and some of the most over-the-top breakfast and lunch tastes L.A. has to offer. Don’t forget to bring the kids (children ages 3-12 get in
for $5 each).

Flavors of LA, Sunday, 8/31 7:30 – 11 PM
A guided tour of the culinary melting pot that is L.A. You’ll explore an eclectic collection of the city’s best restaurants and see many of its most talked-about chefs — all without ever having to leave the
Paramount lot.
