Nick’s Restaurant to Open in Downtown Manhattan Beach

We’ve seen restaurants come and go around the South Bay and Downtown Manhattan Beach is no exception.

The restaurant space in the Metlox Plaza with lovely patios and spacious dining rooms has most recently been home to Chef Makoto Okuwa’s Sashi and French restaurateur Thierry Perez’s Chez Soi which both shuttered.

While the reasons for each closing may have been different (unpaid rent, bad service, menu failures), a new kitchen is opening up to give it another shot.

The new tenant, Nick’s Restaurants, has locations in Orange County and Long Beach. Their Facebook page shows plans to open the MB location in November of this year. A Craiglist post shows activity on the hiring front and construction is underway in the Metlox courtyard.

Nicks To Open In Manhattan Beach

Nick’s Restaurant is prepping to open their next location in Downtown Manhattan Beach.

I hope that their motto, “Passionate about hospitality”, makes for a long stay in MB!
