South Bay St. Patrick’s Day 2015

It’s that special time of year when all of a sudden, everyone’s Irish!  Of course, the cause of this transformation is the celebration of St. Patrick, the patron saint of Ireland.

If you’re inclined to join the celebration, here are a few places around the South Bay where you can enjoy green beer and traditional Irish fare like Corned Beef and cabbage.  Also keep an eye out for new creations like Irish Cream Cheesecake.

Dia Di Campo, Hermosa Beach

During happy hour (5-7pm), Día de Campo commemorates the “Día de San Patricio” by serving Irish-inspired takes on Mexican dishes such as Corned Beef and Cabbage Nachos, and festive cocktails like the Irish “Macho” Mule ($9) alongside Jameson and Guinness tallboys ($8 each).

Grimaldi’s Pizzeria, El Segundo

Grimaldi’s Pizzeria in El Segundo is celebrating St. Patrick’s Day with the return of its popular Bailey’s Irish Cream Cheesecake which will be available through March. The smooth and cheesecake features an Oreo cookie crust and is topped with whipped cream.

St. Patty’s $5 Pints & 99-Cent Burgers @ Rockefeller

South Bay gastropub The Rockefeller is celebrating St. Patrick’s Day onTuesday, March 17 with $5 Guinness pints, available all-day long at both the Manhattan and Hermosa Beach locations. And because it falls on a Tuesday, that also means 99-cent burgers from 5 p.m. – close.

St Patrick’s Day at Dominique’s Kitchen

Three course meal with organic pea soup, corned beef and cabbage with all the trimmings, and English trifle.  Guinness stout and all European ales specially priced at $3 each.
