If it’s Labor Day Weekend, that means that it’s time to gear up your appetite for one of Southern California’s most popular food festivals: The TASTE presented by The Los Angeles Times.

The TASTE showcases some of the best food and beverage from around Los Angeles. The two day festival takes place at Paramount Studios and features LA’s favorite chefs, mixologists, and their featured creations and libations. Here’s a run down of the events!

  • Field to Fork, Saturday, 9/05, 11 AM – 2 PM
    • Indulge in the bounty of California with an afternoon inspired by locally sourced ingredients and the pleasures of seasonal cooking. Leading LA chefs specializing in fresh-focused dishes will share their techniques and offer tastes.
  • Dinner With a Twist, Saturday, 9/05, 7:30 – 10:30 PM
    • What’s more LA than a swanky cocktail party on a Hollywood backlot? That’s exactly what this Saturday evening event is. You’ll enjoy drinks that have brought Southern California’s cutting-edge cocktail culture into a golden age and unique dishes from the city’s hottest chefs.
  • Flavors of LA, Sunday, 9/06 7:30 – 10:30 PM
    • A guided tour of the culinary melting pot that is LA. You’ll explore an eclectic collection of the city’s best restaurants and see many of its most talked-about chefs — all without ever having to leave the
      Paramount lot.

Along with food and beverage samples, each event also has seminars, panel discussions and demonstrations by the chefs. Follow this link for the complete schedule.

Neil “Bigmista” Strawder gave a lot of practical advice baseed on his experience which was well received by the audience. He was joined by Rub Co.’s Ryan Chester and Lady of Q’s Sylvia Curry.

Ticket prices range from $100 – $175. LA Times subscribers receive a $25 discount per ticket.  All events are for ages 21+!
