The Riviera Village plays host to its annual Halloween Trick or Treat this Saturday, Oct. 31. This is when miniature Elsas, Belles, Spidermans, Batmans and Mr. Incredibles walk the streets in the Village. Catalina Ave. will be closed to traffic from Ave. I to Palos Verdes Blvd. Smiling shopkeepers will hand out candy and treats from 4 to 6 p.m.

Grown-ups looking for more action can look forward to the Costume Ball at Chez Melange. This event will take over the entire property covering Chez Melange and their other two restaurants: Bouzy’s and Bar Comida.

Chez Melange will offer multiple food stations placed throughout the property. Select beer, wine and cocktails are included in an all-inclusive price of $75. RSVP via phone to 310.540.1222.

z_locale90Halloween offering at Locale90

One of my favorite haunts (pun intended) is Locale90. Your pizza dough is tossed before your eyes and made into thin crust pizza. Super fresh ingredients are added and it is then baked in a woodfired oven.

For Halloween they will have a Neapolitan Pizza Bianca featuring roasted butternut squash, fresh sage, red onions and gorgonzola. Their special soup is a popular Tuscan variety: Escarole and cici bean with pancetta.

The annual Halloween Trick or Treat has become a popular Redondo Beach tradition because it is a way to enjoy  Halloween in a safe and fun atmosphere. The Village restaurants are packed after all the Trick or Treating, so make your reservations early.  It’s a great way to celebrate Halloween and enjoy all that Riviera Village has to offer!
