Local Treats for Halloween 2015

If you’re trying to stay out of the “holiday” traffic this weekend, turn to your local haunts for your Halloween celebration.  Here are a few events taking place around the South Bay that will give you more treats than tricks!

Eat Drink and Be Scary At Manhattan House

This Halloween, Manhattan House is offering up a spooktacular menu created by Executive Chef Diana Stavaridis sure to send chills down your spine. For one night only, Manhattan House will be offering a Halloween themed menu, Happy Hour prices all night long for anyone in costume, and a Best Costume Contest.

Manhattan House Halloween menu includes: Bloody Beet Salad, Fried Chicken Livers with Fermented Chili Sauce, Sausage and Risotto Stuffed Pumpkins, and for dessert House-made Pumpkin Ice Cream and Salted Caramel Apples.

Special cocktail menu includes The Grim Reaper Punch and Anthem Red Cherry Cider.  Happy Hour includes: $2 off all signature cocktails, $1 off tap beer, and $2 off wines by the glass.

 

Pirates Land on the Redondo Beach Pier for a Halloween Spooktacular at A Basq Kitchen

Hunt for treasure this Halloween at A Basq Kitchen’s pirate-themed Halloween Spooktacular! On Saturday, October 31, 2015 from 6pm-10pm, get ready for a freaky good time as Larry the Pirate takes over the restaurant with his own brand of signature Halloween flair! It will be Halloweenshowmanship at its finest, welcoming guests from the Southbay and beyond! Join us for a ghoulish evening of costumes, prizes, and food & drink specials so enticing that you’d be willing to walk the plank.  Costume contest to be judged at 9pm with $25 ABK gift certificate prize for best couple and $10 ABK gift certificate prizes for best male/female costume.

 

Creepy Carnival Bash at Shade Hotel

Shade Hotel transforms its walls and halls with Halloween carnival-inspired decorations and will feature entertainment, including circus performers, a disc jockey, magician and more. The party, which is open to the public, begins at 7 p.m. Oct. 31. Admission is free.

 

BALoween- A Shipwrecked Halloween Costume Party Presented by BALEENkitchen

Join us for happy hour all night, drink specials, live music from Muddy Boots and tunes from DJ Richie Rich. Costume contest for best pirate costume, best pirate couple and more! $5 admission after 9pm.  Food served until 1am. All night Happy Hour menu, drink specials and more. Costume Contest Details: Best Dressed Pirate and Best Dressed Pirate Couple; 1st place winner will receive a 1 one night stay and dinner for 2 and 2nd place $50 BALEENkitchen gift certificate.
