This weekend, we bid a fond farewell to 2015 and welcome 2016 with the hopes and anticipations of a New Year.

Chef Richard and the crew at BALEEN are preparing a scrumptious five course dinner for New Year’s Eve featuring Maguro sashimi, crab salad, beef tenderloin, and grilled lobster. New Year’s Eve Dinner & Dancing at Sausal, El Segundo
Bring your dancin’ shoes! Chef Anne Conness’ Nuevo Rancho hotspot, Sausal, will be offering a three course prix fixe menu capped off with after-dinner salsa dancing led by an instructor. The festive menu will feature dishes that pay deference to both the history and local bounty of Southern California including Achiote Marinated Chicken, Steamed Black Cod, Braised Lamb Shank, and Spiced Pear Compote Chocolate Empanadas. Fixed price menu from 5 – 7:30 PM ($75/per person); Dinner with salsa dancing from 8 PM to midnight ($120/person). Late meal includes a complimentary glass of Taittinger Champagne or a Margarita.

Chez Melange is serving a four course New Year’s Eve dinner with a $25 option for Bottomless Bubbly! Choose a salad or soup, an appetizer, an entrée, and dessert. Menu is subject to change but options may include Seared Sea Scallop Mustard Sabayon with Butternut Squash; Escargots Sautéed; Lobster Mac & Cheese; and Pan Roasted Duck Breast. $75/person and $25/bottle for corkage if you BYO!

New Year’s Eve Dinner at Dominique’s Kitchen, Redondo Beach
Chef Dominique is celebrating the New Year in true French fashion with a four course menu that includes brie with truffle glaze and organic pea soup with smoked salmon just to get things started. The main dish includes filet mignon and half lobster tail with plenty of sides. White chocolate mousse and chocolate macarons round out the meal for dessert. $69.99 excluding tax and tips. New Year’s Eve Dinner at Jackson’s Food and Drink
NYE Dinner at Jackson’s features a complimentary toast of Sparkling Wine or a Classic French 75 cocktail made with Gin or Cognac, served before or after dinner. The four course menu includes a selection of salads, an appetizer, a choice of entrée (Rosemary Grilled Chicken Breast ($65), Braised Short Ribs ($75), or Petite Filet Mignon ($85), and dessert of Chocolate Soufflé or Mixed Berry Shortcake.

New Year’s DAY Naughty and Nice Resolution Party at Rock and Brews, El Segundo
Gene Simmons of KISS and co-founder of Rock & Brews will be hosting a New Year’s Day celebration at Rock & Brews in El Segundo with a “naughty and nice” resolution contest on January 1. Simmons will select winning “naughty and nice” resolutions for prizes, and take photos with fans. The winner with “the most rockin’ resolution” will receive a $100 gift card, and three runners up will receive Rock & Brews t-shirts. A good time will be had by all!
