Torrance Tavern: South Bay’s Newest Friendly Neighborhood Sports Bar

With all the talk of the Rams moving back to Los Angeles and Super Bowl Sunday just around the corner, it’s no surprise that everyone is out and about looking for the best place to watch their favorite sports teams. Just recently I had a chance to check out Torrance Tavern and found that this place is one many sports enthusiasts is sure to love.

Located in the heart of Torrance, this place is the ultimate neighborhood sports bar. They have fifteen TVs all around. There is a full bar with a beer list that features the domestic, international, and local craft brews. They also have a good menu filled with classic American dishes.

The house specialty and one of the most popular dishes on their menu is their fish and chips.

It’s a perfect snack and meal while watching a game. Game watchers get to feast on crispy Alaskan cod coated in a tempura beer batter. It is served with French fries, tartar sauce and yuzu herb coleslaw.

One of my favorites on the menu is their Classic Philly cheese steak sandwich.

I love that customers can have their choice of beef or chicken for this sandwich. The meat is smothered with American cheese, onions, peppers, and mushrooms served on an Amoroso bun. This sandwich also comes with your choice of French fries, sweet potato fries, or a side salad. I got the sweet potato fries and it was fresh, hot and delicious!

Customers can feast on their good eats via some awesome deals here. On Monday through Friday they offer an awesome happy hour. From 4pm-6pm, it is 50% off appetizers, $2 off well cocktails, beer & wine. They then have a Reverse Happy Hour from 10pm-2am on Sunday, Monday and Tuesday nights.

They also have lots of fun events here! Monday’s from 8-10pm is Trivia Night featuring Geeks Who Drink.  Tuesday nights from 7-9PM they have a game of “Win the Tavern’s Money”.  Wednesday 9pm-1am is Karaoke Night.

It’s great to have a local sports bar that offers such fun times and delicious food. It is no wonder that you can see lots of locals watching the latest game here. It is a great place to meet, to drink, relax, and socialize. For good food, good times and a place to catch a good game, Torrance Tavern is a good place to go!
