This weekend you can watch pigs fly in Long Beach, taste beer in Redondo, or sip some wine in Hermosa.  Its summer time in Southern California!

Check out the events from day two during my four day weekend in Redondo Beach.  On this day, I took a ride on The Strand, toured the snazzy Portofino Hotel & Yacht Club, then finished with dinner and dancing at Baleen.

On Saturday, August 21, South Bay beer lovers will get their very own festival.  In this interview with Emma Suttles of SoCal Suds, we get some details on what’s in store.

Back in June I was invited by the Redondo Beach Chamber of Commerce and Visitors Bureau to spend a weekend touring Redondo Beach.  My mission:  to get an inside look at some of the attractions and settings that make Redondo Beach an A-list destination for locals and visitors from everywhere.

This Thursday night, Iron Chefs and Tops Chefs will convene in Manhattan Beach’s Sashi Sushi+Sake Lounge to cook and cheer.  What’s the occasion?  The premiere of Sashi’s Makoto Okuwa’s very own episode of Iron Chef!

Last week, Whole Foods in Plaza El Segundo put a spin on their series of wine and beer dinners.  Instead of the usual gourmet fare, they went completely veggie with a four course meal of all vegan dishes.

Just a couple weeks ago, California Fish Grill opened their second South Bay restaurant.  Located in Plaza El Segundo, they offer casual dining with an emphasis on fresh seafood.

Healthy eating and fitness take center stage this Sunday at Growing Great’s Healthy Living Festival.
