The Tripel in Playa Del Rey may only have a license for beer and wine, but cocktails are not a problem.

It’s back to school time for fans of stouts, porters, and other dark beers. An upcoming class at Public School 612 will provide students with a tasty lesson in the history of these beverages.

Once again, guests have the option to make their own three-course meal at Roy’s restaurants for a heck of a deal.

Spread out over four days and all over Los Angeles, there’s no way attendees can get to every single happening that makes up this belt busting event. But who says you shouldn’t try!?

School is _in_ for the summer at Downtown LA’s newest gastropub, Public School 612.  Co-located with sister restaurant The Daily Grill at 612 South Flower Street, Public School 612 — also known as PS 612– is a new dining concept with lessons that foodies will register for again and again.

There are so many good blogs that I follow and it’s a treat to “know” the authors via their online personas. But to actually meet them in person is a real treat. Joy The Baker offered her readers such an experience by inviting them to share cupcakes on a roof in downtown Los Angeles. Being local to LA – and a big fan of cupcakes – I was eager to participate.
