This Sunday on Food Network, the winner of the The Great Food Truck Race will be announced.  After five weeks of tough competition, the field of seven trucks has been narrowed to just two:  The burger saavy Grill ‘Em All and the banh mi specialists Nom Nom Truck.

This Thursday night, Iron Chefs and Tops Chefs will convene in Manhattan Beach’s Sashi Sushi+Sake Lounge to cook and cheer.  What’s the occasion?  The premiere of Sashi’s Makoto Okuwa’s very own episode of Iron Chef!

Foodie entertainment is making its way to the big screen.  If you’re a fan of Food Network, The Travel Channel, and other outlets for food TV, Hollywood producers are betting they can get you to the move from your kitchen to the theater.

I’ve eaten flowers before, usually as an accent or decoration on a salad or with sushi.  I’ve also seen them at markets and not known what to do with them.  A little bit of foodie edutainment, however, gave me the insight on a very easy and tasty dish featuring flowers.
