Los Angeles Beer Week is brewing full steam ahead as it wraps up this weekend. There are still beer-focused events around the South Bay this weekend along with the huge beer festival this Sunday in Downtown LA. Just $40 Gets unlimited 4oz tastings from Noon to 4 PM…..early enough to recover for Monday!

Last Chance at LA Restaurant Week
Wow! Both weeks of LA’s Fall Restaurant Week have come and gone….and I missed both of them!
I usually look forward to checking out the menus and deals at new places and old favorites but this time I was preoccpied with other diversions.
Oh well! OC’s Happy Week is coming up and LA’s Winter Restaurant Week will be here before we know it. I promise to do better for those!
In case you’re still trying to take advantage of Restaurant Week deals — the last day is Friday! — here are a few tips to help you out.
- Check out the main dine LA website for the complete list of restaurants. There are plenty of new places to choose if you want to be adventurous.
- The are some standards in the South Bay: Fleming’s, Il Fornaio, Chart House. Skip those and go for BALEEN. Getting a discount there is a deal! Top notch service and wicked good food make it a top choice for Restaurant Week. (BALEEN at the Portofino Hotel)
