The South Bay Greek Festival is another one of my favorite food festivals.  It returns to St. Katherine’s Greek Orthodox church in South Redondo today through Sunday July 13.

I really admire that the members of the parishioners of this church cook the food themselves. They proudly prepare family recipes that have been passed down through generations.

The floor space is divided into four major areas.  As you enter, the dishes like pasticcio, meatballs and green beans are available. Going outside you will find grilled items such as souvlaki, gyros and calamari. Desserts such as baklava and dipel are available in a separate desserts section. There is a separate kids section where young children can have fun with games and a bouncy house.

You can find out more information, by reading my account of last year’s event.

Admission for adults is $2.00, but you can find a coupon that waives the admission price here
