Weekend!

It’s interesting to see how different passions can cross over, comingle, and complement each other perfectly. I was able to experience this first hand when Buick partnered with Food+Wine magazine for a test drive event at the swank St. Regis Monarch Hotel in Dana Point, CA.

October is a great month for Southern California foodies. From LA to OC, every week has an event dedicated to food, wine, or beer. And then to top it off, the month ends with everyone high on sugar and decked out in costumes for Halloween. Yes, life is good.

From Memorial Day in May, until Labor Day in September, we soak up the sun and laze away the long summer days in typical Southern California fashion. We kicked off the season with a bang so we might as well go out with one!  Thank goodness for Fiesta Hermosa.

Spread out over four days and all over Los Angeles, there’s no way attendees can get to every single happening that makes up this belt busting event. But who says you shouldn’t try!?

This weekend, party like summer is going out of style…because it is!  Here are a few things the South Bay Foodies are tracking for the weekend.  Maybe we will see you there!

This weekend the big party is in San Pedro, where you can sample cuisine from South Bay vendors and restaurants and enjoy some soulful sounds next to the sea. This event, billed as “San Pedro’s finest hometown festival” features more than 30 restaurants, wineries, breweries, artists, merchants and live musicians at a quaint seaside setting. […]

This weekend the South Bay is packed with events from top to bottom.  You can check out the 6-Man Volleyball tournament in Manhattan or cruise with some Navy ships down in San Pedro.  Read on for details!

Beer drinkers and music lovers can bond this Saturday over cold beer and hot tunes at Kona Brewings Liquid Aloha Music Festival in Newport Beach.

Another Southern California weekend is revving up! This one is packed with hot rods, street food festivals, movies and more. Here are a few of the events the South Bay Foodies will be checking out. Hopefully we’ll see you there!

With fireworks, parades, picnics, and festivals, Independence Day is the essence of patriotism and summer-time celebration.  Communities around the South Bay, Long Beach, and Los Angeles will be in full swing recognizing our country’s 235 years of independence.

This is one of my favorite South Bay carnivals and it always sneaks up on me!   Today and tomorrow the Gardena Valley Japanese Cultural Institute (JCI) is holding its annual Family Fun Carnival.

This weekend we’re checking out races in Manhattan Beach; arts and crafts in Redondo; and wine, beer, and spirits in San Diego and Pomona.  Join us!

This Saturday and Sunday The streets of Palos Verdes will be ground zero for live music, arts and crafts, and finger-licking carnival cuisine during the Palos Verdes Street Fair and Music Festival.
