Even though we live in the land of Eternal Summer, we can now officially kick off the best season of the year.  Memorial Day is here and its time to get the party started!

Read on for some ideas for your three-day weekend.

Its been a busy week at South Bay Foodies HQ.  That means we have the perfect excuse to party hard this weekend!

As is often the case in Southern California, there are plenty of events to choose from on this sunny, spring weekend.  Here are a few of the events we’re buzzing about.  Hopefully I’ll see you at one or all of them.  Sunday is going to be a busy day!

Here are a few suggestions for getting your grub on for Easter around the South Bay.  If you’re looking for some big egg hunts, we have a few tips on that too.  Happy Easter!

The beer capital of the South Bay — and quite possibly Los Angeles — is celebrating all things hoppy with its 3rd Annual IPA Festival.

This is one of those fabled Southern California weekends where the weather is on deck to be as lovely as it can be and there’s so much going its hard to figure out what to do with ourselves.  Ah, what a dilemma!

Giving might be hard, but partying is not…especially when you are partying for a cause!  Here are three events that will help you enjoy yourself and feel good about helping out at the same time.

This Saturday, Truck N’ Toys presents 19 food trucks to hundreds of food truck gourmets while asking them to donate toys.

Wow!  Only 14 more days until Christmas, kiddies. That means you don’t have much time left to figure out how to get scarce when the relatives come to visit.

Consider these events taking place around the South Bay to get you out of the house this weekend.  Besides they’re way more fun than heading to Wal-Mart to return something (easily a two-hour trip) or trying to find a parking place at Manhattan Village.

Oh, and dress warmly; snow is in the forecast!

If you’re cooking you probably have your meal all lined up.  If you’re not cooking, you might still be wondering where to get your grub on!  Fear not, hungry one; I have some referrals for finding a Thanksgiving feast that will fit your stomach and your budget.

Thanksgiving is right around the corner and Christmas is not too far behind that!  This weekend, prep for your holiday feasts by sampling cupcakes and toasting with holiday wines.

Becoming a holiday dinner expert is hard work!…..but somebody has to do it.

Even though Christmas decorations were in stores before Halloween came and went, the holiday season is here…for real this time!

Here are a couple weekend activities to put you in the holiday spirit, be it cooking up a Thanksgiving feast or walking in a winter beachy wonderland.

With temperatures on the rise, this weekend is the prefect time to relax with a cool beer and a taste of tequila.  The ladies of Soroptimist International of Manhattan Beach, would be glad to serve some of both at their event this Saturday.
